Choral Workshops - pleasurable and rewarding
People of all ages are increasingly discovering the very
special pleasure and value to be gained from a day's singing. Such occasions
are challenging but relaxed, sociable, and rewarding.
Stephen and Kathryn have experience of a variety of formats
including:
Residential or non-residential weekend workshops. These
would generally include daytime workshop sessions, informal performance(s) and
time to socialise perhaps including a concert or theatre visit if appropriate.
Saturday morning and afternoon workshops which could include
study of specific repertoire, exercises and games to improve choral technique,
sight reading games and exercises, and/or 'do-it-yourself' sessions.
Come and Sing events open to all to sing a popular and well-known
work from scratch. Examples of such might include the Mozart, Faure, and
Verdi Requiems, Mendelssohn's Elijah, Haydn's Nelson and Pauken Masses,
Opera Choruses and lighter music including Joseph and his Technicolour
Dreamcoat and light-hearted madrigals and part-songs involving only limited
sight-reading skills.
Stephen & Kathryn are very happy to hear other
suggestions, to present the repertoire you feel you would enjoy most.
